What Treso Spend does

Cards for every location, provider and purpose

Issue physical and virtual cards in a minute. Each card carries a named policy, a limit and the dimensions the books need, so a supply order in Riverside never has to be re-coded as a dinner in Midtown.

  • Freeze, replace lost or stolen, or close with one confirmation
  • Named policies by role, location, category and amount
  • Program dashboard: limits, utilization and spend by cardholder

Receipts and coding without the chase

Snap, forward or drag receipts in; Treso matches them to the settlement and codes the transaction from your rules. Splits across GL accounts, locations and providers post as separate lines. When a memo is required, the cardholder hears about it, not the controller.

  • Coding rules with priorities you can test against history
  • Splits by GL, location and provider
  • Missing-receipt nudges, with a receipt threshold per card

Approvals the way the practice decides

Approval steps by amount band, location and category: a location manager up to their limit, the controller above it, the owner for anything unusual. Reimbursements, mileage and per diem run through the same chain.

  • Multi-step approval policies with per-person limits
  • Bulk approve, re-code or flag from the list
  • Reimbursements with a mileage calculator and per diem

Budgets, recurring vendors and the shape of spend

Budgets per card, location or category, with alerts at the thresholds you choose. Treso recognizes recurring software and service charges, keeps a renewal calendar, and flags the anomalies worth a look.

  • Budget alerts, deduped per period
  • Recurring-vendor detection and renewal calendar
  • Spend by merchant, category, location and cardholder; month over month

How it posts to the ledger

Every settlement posts a balanced journal: the expense account from the coding rule (or each split line), debited by location and provider, against the card liability. Re-coding posts a reclass; refunds and reversals follow the original split. Nothing is edited after the fact, so your statement export and your GL always agree.

Questions

Questions

Do we have to move our bank to use cards?

No. Cards are funded from your Treso operating account, which can sit alongside the bank you already use. Many practices start with cards and bill pay and move deposits later.

Can a provider have their own card?

Yes. Cards can be issued to a person or a purpose, and each carries a provider dimension so their spend shows up in their P&L line.

What about receipts for the auditor?

Receipts are stored with the transaction and included in statement exports and the month's close package. Deleted receipts are soft-deleted and recoverable.

Does it work with QuickBooks?

Yes. Transactions sync as journal lines with your account mapping and location as department. Xero and NetSuite follow the same mapping.

The demo opens Spend as Dana, who works in it every day at a synthetic dermatology practice. Owner, location manager, front desk, billing, provider, controller and CPA are each one click away, and nothing in it is real.
